Experience

I taught for nearly 7 years at the college and high school level and want to work with students again more closely. I have taught and tutored struggling learners and exceptional students. I prepared my students for the SAT and my courses were heavily focused on writing including college application essays. I am currently finishing my doctorate in educational leadership and am an Assistant Principal. While I was in undergrad, I won multiple awards and presented two papers at state conferences. While I was working toward my first masters in English literature, I focused heavily on English/Victorian literature. When I got into the classroom, much of my curriculum was focused on American literature so I have a broad range of experiences. I am also tutoring students on two other platforms.

Hobbies

I love exercising and spending time with my family and pets. I am extremely positive and patient and want to help students reach their full potential. I truly enjoy working with students and watching them grow which is why I want to get back to tutoring. I believe that as educators, we need to meet our students where they are and give them the skills to succeed at their personal level. As an educator, I also believe it is incumbent upon me to push and challenge students especially when they doubt themselves.
