Experience
I attended Columbia University, where I acquired my PhD in Russian. I also have thirty-one years of experience teaching at a college level. Currently, I am a professor at a university where I am an art educator. I also tutor for different languages. I have worked with people from France, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Korea, and China. All of my students were native speakers of their own countries. I worked with them to teach them the English language. As for my tutoring style, my main goal is to assist my students in improving their grades and overall English abilities. I put an emphasis on the verb system of the English language, as this seems to be the most difficult for students to understand. I understand that each student is different. No two students are alike. Because of the differences among students, I believe in tailoring lesson plans that focus on each individual student's strengths and weaknesses. My lessons are a mixture of reviews from past lessons and new material. Personally, I find that this works best for my students. It allows for them to go over past information they were taught that they may be a little confused about. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy traveling and reading.
