Experience

I am a tutor with extensive experience helping students prepare for standardized tests. I am a lawyer, but my true calling is to teach. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and completed my law degree at Boston University. I have experience tutoring more than five hundred students in both a classroom setting and on an individual basis. I specialize in helping students prepare for standardized tests. I am also able to tutor students in European history, United States history, and social studies. My philosophy as a tutor is based on designing a program that focuses on students' weaknesses and strengths. I teach in a logical manner, with each step following the next. I also focus on small goals because this helps the student build confidence. I constantly reinforce the fact that my students are making progress in order to help build their self-esteem and confidence. I teach courses on preparing for standardized tests, and I place an emphasis on presenting the information systematically. I typically recommend that students take both the SAT and ACT because this provides them with an opportunity to identify which test plays more to their strengths. I require that my students work hard, but I try to make their coursework fun so that it doesn't feel like a punishment. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and youth baseball.
